Cloudmark Upgrades Messaging Security For Exchange
Messaging security vendor Cloudmark Inc. has upgraded its Cloudmark Server Edition for corporate environments that use Microsoft’s Exchange Server, adding new mobile e-mail messaging protection against spam, phishing and virus attacks, and new data reporting features.
The new reporting capabilities connect users to the Cloudmark Collaborative Security Network (CCSN), which provides real-time feedback on spam, phishing, virus and other evolving threats and automated message analysis and classification to block the latest threats. The CCSN processes billions of messages every day from over 100 million mailboxes in 163 countries, according to Cloudmark.
The company said it has improved the accuracy of threat reporting in the Server Edition for Exchange 2.0 as users are able to block and unblock messages and participate as reporters in the CCSN, earning ratings within Cloudmark’s Trust Evaluation System. Cloudmark says it now blocks over 98 percent of spam, phishing and virus attacks with near-zero false positives.
Expanded fingerprinting algorithms and scanning ability protect against rapidly morphing messaging threats. And Cloudmarket has added new mobile filtering capabilities for mobile workers using a variety of PDAs, including Blackberry, Treo and Goodlink devices.
Cloudmark Server Edition can serve up to 5,000 seats at Microsoft Exchange Server sites. Cloudmark Server Edition 2.0 is available immediately from or through its value-added resellers. Trials are available, as are free upgrades to the new version.
