February 15, 2006 Sherpa Debuts New Release Of Archive Attender By Compliance Pipeline Staff Courtesy of brought out a new release of its e-mail and PST file archiving system, Archive Attender for Exchange 2.5, offering users the ability to access their personal archives and replace complete messages with mail stubs. Archive Attender moves messages and attachments to an external storage device from Microsoft Exchange mailboxes and PST files. In the new version, users will have direct access to their archived messages while keeping the folder structure intact to eliminate message hunting. The users' mailboxes remain intact and they have a portal into all of their own archived messages, said Sherpa. Within the portal, users can search, view, send, forward and restore their archived messages from one location within the mailbox. Version 2.5 will also provide storage management functionality such as the ability to archive attachments only, while keeping the original message intact. "The latest release of Archive Attender provides near seamless archiving integration to our customers," said Kevin Ogrodnik, Vice-President of Sherpa. "Users’ archived messages are kept in the original location, thereby making user training to access archived messages minimal.
