Genesys Conferencing, a global multimedia conferencing service provider brought out an expanded level of service designed as an emergency meeting center for quick communication during times of crisis to ensure business continuity.

Emergency Meeting Center is a streaming conferencing service that can handle thousands of participants at the same time, according to . No reservation is required; instead, a customer has one dedicated 800 number to serve as a "virtual auditorium."

"Risk management during crisis is a key concern to large, multinational companies," said Francois Legros, Genesys Conferencing Chairman and CEO. "With the possibility of a flu pandemic looming, our customers are evaluating how they can ensure continuity of their operations, including having access to corporate resources and the ability to provide information to employees in a timely fashion. Genesys Conferencing collaboration services can play a key role."

A conferencing service also enables employees to work from home, in a time of crisis.
